Your information, handled with purpose.
Website privacy notice · Updated 25 October 2026
This notice explains how Industrious Engineering uses information submitted through this website. The website is operated for the consultancy by Sam Moutrey.
Engineering enquiries
When you submit the enquiry form we collect your name, email address, organisation (if supplied), selected service, message and submission time. We use this information to assess your requirement, respond and manage the prospective business relationship. We rely on our legitimate interests in handling business enquiries and, where applicable, taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
Please provide only information appropriate for an initial enquiry. Do not submit classified information, export-controlled technical information or sensitive project documentation.
Storage, access and retention
Enquiries are held in private website storage and can be accessed through a restricted owner dashboard. The hosting and storage service uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. If email forwarding is enabled, enquiry details are also processed by Resend to deliver a copy to the consultancy’s Gmail inbox. Email copies are separate from website storage and are retained while needed to handle the enquiry or ongoing business relationship. See Resend’s privacy information. Enquiry records are scheduled for deletion after 90 days in the website inbox; deletion runs when the owner dashboard is opened, so actual storage may extend beyond that period until the dashboard is reviewed. Information needed for an ongoing engagement may be transferred to the consultancy’s business records and retained for that purpose.
Hosting providers may process information outside the UK under their applicable service arrangements. This website does not promise UK-only data residency. We do not sell enquiry details or use them for advertising.
Basic usage measurement
The website records page paths and dates to count page requests. It does not use analytics cookies, cross-site tracking, advertising identifiers or visitor profiles. These counts include repeat visits and may include bots; they are not counts of unique people. Usage records are scheduled for deletion after 30 days; deletion runs when the owner dashboard is opened, so actual storage may extend until the next dashboard review.
Spam protection & technical logs
The form uses a signed time-limited token, a hidden spam-check field and a submission rate check. A daily hash derived from the connection IP address may be held temporarily to help limit repeated submissions. Raw IP addresses are not stored in the enquiry record. Expired spam-check records are removed during dashboard maintenance. Hosting providers may separately maintain technical and security logs under their own policies.
Cookies & browser storage
The public website does not set optional cookies or use local storage. Owner sign-in is handled by ChatGPT and may require essential authentication cookies. There are no marketing or embedded social-media trackers.
Your choices & rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information, object to relevant processing, or exercise other applicable data-protection rights. Use the enquiry form, selecting a general enquiry and stating “Privacy request”. Providing an email address lets us respond and, where necessary, verify the request. You can also raise concerns with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes
This notice will be reviewed as the business and website develop. The date above indicates the current version.
